The only advantage of the Cerberus is that it can engage at pretty much any distance.. heavy assault launchers don't work on it, so don't bother with them you will be gimped.. it's more mobile than the Drake but yeah anything up close you will get shredded.. range flexibility and mobility is key.. it doesn't really do bad DPS you get a respectable 400DPS out of it..
So if you are in a corp that does mobile HAC/RECON gangs a Cerberus isn't bad.. a Rook is kind of better though since it doesn't do horrible dps and its got jammy power gang utility and isn't really much worse defensively and is just as mobile..
I kind of like the Cerberus though personally. :) ------ I'll make a sig later. |

It has that Klingon thing going on..
Drakes are inside the gang shooting out and Cerbs should be outside the gang shooting in. imho
needs cov ops cloak tbh ------ I'll make a sig later. |

Originally by: Zhilia Mann Cerb is fine if you know what to do with it. Support suppression really is a legitimate role, btw.
And as even I'm tired of hearing myself say, it absolutely demolishes L2 missions.
you can run level 4s in a cerberus quite easily actually ------ I'll make a sig later. |

I've used a similar fit.. injector + 650m3 cargo bay is the key to the solo cerberus. :)
Something like this?
[Cerberus, Booster] Damage Control II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Invulnerability Field II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 800 Large C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile [empty high slot]
Medium Ancillary Current Router I Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Active tank... it can work but the Cerbs cap is kind of a liability even with the injector and with the MWD too it's going to be rough.. I would go LSE with injector.. but ya something like that :P ------ I'll make a sig later. |
